Day 1: HANOI / PERFUME PAGODA / HOA BINH

Pick up at your hotel and depart to the Perfume Pagoda, a complex of pagodas and Buddhist shrines, approximately 70 km southwest of Hanoi. On arrival, take a sampan for a trip along the gentle Yen River to reach Thien Tru Pagoda. Along the way, stop at Den Trinh Temple and visit pagodas. Enjoy a picnic box for lunch and in the afternoon join a two-hour walking tour and explore Giai Oan Pagoda and Huong Tich Cave. Continue to Hoa Binh. Overnight in Hoa Binh.


Day 2 : HOA BINH / MAI CHAU / NINH BINH

After breakfast, drive to the Thai minority village of Mai Chau. On the way, stop and visit a Muong minority village and learn about the traditional life of the local people. Lunch in Mai Chau and in the afternoon, continue the trip to Ninh Binh via National road 12A. Overnight in Ninh Binh.


Day 3: NINH BINH / HOA LU / HANOI

After breakfast, cycle through the traditional village to Bich Dong Pagoda and then continue to Thung Nang pier. Board a small sampan for a spectacular 2-hour journey through numerous waterways and beautiful rural landscape of limestone cliffs and rice paddies and visit one cave. Return and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit temples from the early Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh dynasties before returning to Hanoi late in the afternoon.
